Objective To explore the diagnostic value of hydrogen proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques for the diagnosis of detrusor underactivity (DU).Methods Patients with non-neurogenic lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) were collected in Hefei Second People's Hospital from July 2022 to July 2023 and divided into DU and non-DU groups based on urodynamic findings, with a total of 42 patients, including 20 DU patients and 22 non-DU patients. The equipment used was Siemens Prisma 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging system. Peak integral data of choline (Cho) and creatine (Cr) within the bladder wall were recorded and the peak integralratio of Cho to Cr (Cho/Cr) was derived by post-processing software for comparison between groups.Results The DU group had a maximum Cho/Cr ratio of 1.30, a minimum ratio of 0.45, and an average ratio of 0.77±0.33. The non-DU group had a maximum Cho/Cr ratioof 1.62, a minimum ratio of 0.53, and an average ratio of 1.16±0.33. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in Cho/Cr ratiobetween the DU group and the non-DU group (P<0.05), with the non-DU group showing a significantly higher index. However, therewas no statistically significant difference in Cho values between the DU group and the non-DU group (P>0.05).Conclusion The bladder wall urethral muscle Cho/Cr index has a correlation with bladder function and may be an objective marker for DU patients. |
