| 【】 Recent studies have demonstrated a strong correlation between thyroid disorders and hepatobiliary diseases. Thyroid hormones influence bile acid synthesis, secretion, and excretion by modulating bile flow, altering bile composition, and potentially inducing gut dysbiosis, thus increasing the risk of hepatobiliary diseases. Therefore, monitoring thyroid hormone levels is crucial for assessing the risk, severity, and prognosis of these diseases. This article explores the mechanisms by which thyroid hormones regulate bile acid metabolism and their role in hepatobiliary pathogenesis. |
