Objective To investigate the characteristics and occurrence patterns of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with os.eltamivir phosphate in a children's hospital. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis of 52 ADR reports related to oseltamivirphosphate submitted to the National Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring from the Affiliated Changzhou Children's Hospital ofNantong University between January 2022 and December 2024.Results Among the 52 ADR cases, the male-to-female ratio was 1.17: 1. Children aged >1-6 years had the highest proportion of ADRs (39 cases, 75.00%). Five cases (9.62%) had a history of drug allergy. The most common clinical diagnosis was upper respiratory tract infection (21 cases, 40.38%), and etiological testing was performed in38 cases (73.08%). ADRs primarily occurred within 3 days following medication (45 cases, 86.54%), involving a total of 69 instances oforgan/system impairment, with digestive system and neuropsychiatric system impairments being the main manifestations. Concurrentmedication use was recorded in 41 cases (78.85%). All ADRs were mild, and all children improved or recovered after management, with no significant impact on the primary illness. Conclusions For pediatric patients, oseltamivir phosphate should be administeredstrictly according to the prescribing information. Drug use monitoring should also be enhanced to minimize the incidence of ADRs andensure medication safety in children.
