| Objective To explore the types and incidence of complications associated with ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted mini-mally invasive rotary excision for benign breast tumors, and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods A total of 600 patients with benign breast tumors who underwent ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted minimally invasive rotary excision at Huidong County Hospi-tal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Huidong County Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to December 2024were selected as the prospective study. The incidence of postoperative complications was analyzed, and the patients were divided into acomplication group (n=33) and a non-complication group (n=567) based on whether postoperative complications occurred after surgery.Clinical data of the two groups were collected. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to identify the in-fluencing factors for postoperative complications, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were established to assess the val-ue of each independent risk factor and their combination in predicting postoperative complications. Results Among the 600 patients,33 developed postoperative complications, with an incidence rate of 5.50%. These included 18 (3.00%) cases of local hematoma, 9(1.50%) cases of skin injury, and 6 (1.00%) cases of local depression. Univariate analysis results showed that smoking history, alcoholconsumption history, tumor location, tumor diameter, intraoperative blood loss, operative time, wound healing time, and compressivedressing were associated with postoperative complications (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis identified tumor location, tumor diameter, intraoperative blood loss, operative time, and wound healing time as independent risk factors for postoperative complications in patientswith benign breast tumors (all P<0.05). ROC curve analysis demonstrated that tumor location, tumor diameter, intraoperative bloodloss, operative time, wound healing time, and their combination could all predict the occurrence of postoperative complications in pa-tients with benign breast tumors, with the combination of indicators showing the highest area under the curve (AUC) of 0.91 [95%CI: (0.86, 0.95), all P<0.05].Conclusions The incidence of complications is relatively low after ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted mini-mally invasive rotary excision for benign breast tumors. Tumor location, tumor diameter, intraoperative blood loss, operatve time, andwound healing time are independent risk factors, and the combination of multiple indicators demonstrates high predictive value for post-operative complications. |
